For our Floriade performance, I supported the Ginninderra Wind Orchestra in publicity and communications as part of my voluntary role as Publicity Officer. Our highlight of the event was being invited by ABC Radio to speak on their morning segment with radio host Saskia Mabin, where Debbie Masling OAM and I discussed the orchestra, our community and our Floriade program.
The performance enjoyed a successful opening day with a warm and enthusiastic audience. It was rewarding to see the reach and visibility of the orchestra grow and to contribute to sharing our story with a broader Canberra community.
This project deepened my experience in event publicity, community engagement and media communication, and it remains one of my favourite moments supporting GWO.
